Trillium Restaurant Gift Voucher (Gift Card) Terms and Conditions

1. General

1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all gift vouchers (“Vouchers”) issued by Trillium Restaurant (Birmingham) Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
1.2 Purchase, use, or acceptance of a Voucher constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available at www.trilliumrestaurant.co.uk.

2. Voucher Purchase

2.1 Vouchers can only be purchased online at www.trilliumrestaurant.co.uk.
2.2 All Vouchers are issued electronically (“e-Vouchers”) only and will be delivered by email to the purchaser or designated recipient. No physical or printed Vouchers are available, and nothing will be posted.
2.3 Vouchers are available in denominations specified on our website at the time of purchase.
2.4 It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the recipient’s email address is entered correctly. We are not responsible for Vouchers sent to incorrect or inaccessible email addresses.
2.5 Once payment has been processed, e-Vouchers are sent automatically to the email address provided. If the Voucher email is not received within a reasonable time, the recipient should check their spam or junk email folders. Trillium Restaurant (Birmingham) Limited is not responsible for Vouchers that are not received due to spam filters, firewall settings, capacity limits, or other issues outside our control.

3. Redemption

3.1 Vouchers may be redeemed for food and beverages at Trillium Restaurant, subject to availability.
3.2 Vouchers must be presented (printed or shown on a mobile device) when paying the bill.
3.3 Vouchers may not be used for gratuities, service charges, or third-party events unless otherwise stated.
3.4 Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, offer, or discount unless expressly agreed.
3.5 If the bill exceeds the value of the Voucher, the balance must be paid using another accepted payment method.
3.6 No change or cash refund will be given for purchases below the Voucher value. Any remaining balance will remain available until the expiry date.

4. Validity and Expiry

4.1 Vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of issue, which is shown on the Voucher confirmation email.
4.2 The expiry date is final. Once a Voucher has expired, it cannot be redeemed, extended, reissued, or refunded. We are unable to offer extensions under any circumstances.
4.3 Any remaining balance on a Voucher must be used before the expiry date. After this date, any unused balance will be forfeited and no credit or refund will be given.
4.4 It is the responsibility of the Voucher holder to check and manage the expiry date. We recommend noting the expiry date at the time of purchase or gifting.
4.5 Vouchers cannot be used to secure reservations beyond their expiry date (for example, booking a table after the Voucher has expired).
4.6 We reserve the right to refuse redemption of any Voucher that has expired, been altered, or appears otherwise invalid.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

5.1 Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except as required by law.
5.2 Once issued, Vouchers cannot be cancelled.
5.3 Lost, deleted, or stolen Vouchers will not be replaced or refunded.
5.4 Where a reservation paid for using a Voucher is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the Voucher may be considered redeemed at our discretion.

6. Reservations

6.1 Use of a Voucher does not guarantee a table booking. Advance reservations are strongly recommended.
6.2 Reservations are subject to availability and standard booking terms.
6.3 Guests must mention the intention to use a Voucher when booking to ensure correct handling on arrival.

7. Special Menus and Events

7.1 Vouchers cannot automatically be applied to special tasting menus, wine-pairing experiences, or event nights unless stated otherwise.
7.2 Supplementary charges may apply for premium menu items, tasting menus, or seasonal events.

8. Fraud and Misuse

8.1 We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or void any Voucher that we reasonably suspect has been altered, fraudulently obtained, or used in breach of these Terms.
8.2 We are not responsible for any unauthorised use of Vouchers.

9. Financial Handling

9.1 All payments received for Vouchers are held and managed by Trillium Restaurant (Birmingham) Limited.
9.2 The value of unredeemed Vouchers is recorded as a liability until redemption, ensuring funds are appropriately accounted for in accordance with UK accounting standards.
9.3 This process ensures that the value of issued Vouchers is recognised responsibly and transparently until they are redeemed for goods or services.

10. Liability

10.1 Our total liability in respect of any Voucher shall be limited to the value of that Voucher.
10.2 Nothing in these Terms shall affect your statutory rights.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
11.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
